The Objective
This Luxury Hotel & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona worked with Kitchen Energy Solutions on their goal to increase energy savings at main and convention kitchen spaces. The challenge presented for this project was due to their multiple kitchen areas and extensive hours of operation.

Resorts are a great opportunity for DCKV solutions due to long operations each day and multiple kitchens to serve the needs of the guests. This luxury hotel & spa hosts two identical kitchens for their main kitchen and convention kitchen spaces.

KES knew this hotel was a great candidate for substantial energy savings in these kitchens with a total of eight kitchen exhaust fans served by two makeup air units. Our team set out to implement a custom ECOAZUR® system to modulate fan speeds based on varying levels of cooking activity.

The Solution
ECOAZUR® was the perfect solution for these kitchens at this luxury hotel & spa, offering the ability to retrofit temperature and optic sensors on all commercial kitchen hoods, ultimately maximizing the energy savings in their kitchen.

The ECOAZUR® system was installed in both the main restaurant and convention center kitchens. The impact of the savings was immediately felt with an 18% reduction in overall fan speed in operation compared to the initial projected data.

ECOAZUR® will continue to maximize the energy savings in these commercial kitchen spaces with cloud analytics and constant monitoring.
